Instilling Patriotism

In the Bhartiya context, there is a confluence of the idea of Divinity [Divyata], Values [Dharma] and Nation [Rashtra]. This ancient land, is genesis for Sanatana Dharma [Bhartiya Value System]. Bharat itself needs to be revered and all those who have served these nation also to be revered. The The Theme of Instilling Patriotism is imparted through the Samskaram of Reverence for the motherland Symbolised by Bharat Mata Vandanam. Reverence for great warriors who have given their lives for the Motherland by Param Veer Vandanam. Bharat Mata and her great heroes Symbolise the Nation's Soul

The Theme of Sustaining Environment is imparted through the Samskaram of Reverence for Rivers Symbolised by Ganga Vandanam and Mother-Earth by Bhoomi Vandanam. The Ganga [flowing water] and the Bhoomi [earth] Symbolise the five fundamental elements of nature [panchabhootas- namely [Akash, Vayu, Agni, Jal and Bhoomi] which constitute the environment

1. Bharatmaata Vandanam

Bharat Mata or Mother India is the national personification of Bharat as a Mother Goddess The image of Bharatmata formed and grew with the independence movement of the late 19th century. The image of Bharatmata was an icon to create nationalist feeling in Indians during the freedom struggle.

Will Durant a celebrated American author of The Story of Civilization, in his book wrote about Bharat

"It is true that even across the Himalayan barrier; India has sent to the West such gifts as grammar and logic, philosophy and fables, hypnotism and chess, and above all numerals and the decimal system. India was the mother of our race and Sanskrit the mother of Europe's languages. She was the mother of our philosophy, mother through the Arabs, of much of our mathematics, mother through Buddha, of the ideals embodied in Christianity, mother through village communities of self-government and democracy. Mother India is in many ways the mother of us all."

2. Param Veer Vandanam

The Param Veer Chakra is the highest gallantry honour for the greatest act of bravery and sacrifice by armed forces. The award was instituted after India became free. Most of the awardees laid down their lives in the cause of the motherland and were posthumously awarded the Param Veer Chakra. Taken together the six Themes are necessary for sustaining the human society on the planet.Human life and harmony within, and with nature is impossible without respect, Protection of Forests, Animals, Environment, Family Values, Women and Nation.

By adopting Symbolism and Symbols as communication medium to Influence the subconscious of the young by Imparting Samskarams.

4. Conserve Forest and Protect Wild life, Preserve Ecology and Sustain Environment
Making boys and girls to recall ancient India's reverence for Trees, Wild Life, all Living Beings and Nature - and to educate the world to revere and protect Trees, Wild Animals, all Living Beings and save the Earth to Sustain Environment through reverence.

5. Imbibe reverence to Parents, Teachers and Elders
Making young India imbibe ancient India's reverence to Parents, Teachers and Elders, illustrate the world that only family and society can and will take care of them with reverence, not the government.

6. Revive and Foster Women's Honour
Making the young Bharatiyas revive the reverence and respect for Girl Children and Women - to make the Nation and the World to understand and realise that the society, not just law, can and will protect women's dignity.

7. Provide alternative paradigm for the world
By giving the world at cross-roads, an alternative paradigm of life based on ancient Bharatiya values of reverence for all Living Beings, Nature, Parents, Teachers and Elders, Girl Children and Women, Nation and National War Heroes.

8. To prepare India as world leader
Enable and empower an India that is emerging as a geo-political power in the twenty-first century, to provide moral lead to the world that is torn apart by terror and violence.

9. Present emerging India as Jagat Guru
To make India the Jagat Guru as Swami Vivekananda envisioned and to present India as a soft moral power to replace the violent hard powers of today.

10. Demonstrate that "Value Building is Nation Building"
By making all understand that individual's value building is not just personality development, but make them realise that it is the fountainhead of nation's overall development.
